\nOr an idea or cause that inspires you.
\nAnd then start cutting!
\nPassion will move you forward.
\nAnd circumstances will conspire to sustain you.
\nLike what happened to the protagonist in the film Kon-Tiki.
\nHe set sail on a balsa wood raft.
\nFrom South America to the Pacific Islands.
\nTo prove that Polynesia was populated with humans from Peru.
\nOnce he set his idea in motion, all sorts of unexpected factors cooperated with him.
\nThe balsa wood expanded in the water and bit into the hemp ropes.
\nCreating a tight seal, resistant to the stresses of the ocean waves.
\nEvery morning edible flying fish would land on the raft.
\nProviding nourishment for the challenging day ahead.
\nYes, he measured and made a raft.
\nBut then he stopped measuring and made an act of faith.
\nOne that took him 4,300 miles in 101 days.
